MOD Pizza Celebrates Teachers and School Staff Nationwide on May 9th

Teachers and staff receive MOD-size pizza or salad during “Teacher Appreciation Week”
SEATTLE (May 3, 2017) – MOD Pizza, known for its individual artisan-style pizza and people-first culture, announced it will honor teachers nationwide with a free pizza or salad in celebration of “Teacher Appreciation Week”.  On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, all teachers and school staff are invited to drop by any MOD location across the U.S. and simply show their school ID to receive a free pizza or salad.

“MOD was built on the idea that taking care of people is good for business,” said Ally Svenson, co-founder of MOD Pizza. “Teachers and school staff are so integral to building stronger communities and this is our small way of showing gratitude for their role in helping our kids learn and achieve their dreams. We hope that lots of these local heroes will take a moment to enjoy this treat on us!”

Supporting teachers and school staff is another way MOD uses pizza as a platform for creating positive social impact. To date, MOD has supported over 195 community-based charities across the US and donated over $1 million to organizations focused on supporting at-risk youth and families.
