Two new toppings also added for the season – roasted pineapple and Brussels sprouts
SEATTLE (July 12, 2017) – MOD Pizza today launched its summer seasonal pizza, the Ella, in all stores across the US. The Ella highlights spicy chicken sausage and Sri-Rancha – MOD’s own blend of Sriracha and ranch dressing – and is complemented by a white sauce base, mozzarella, sliced red onion, diced tomato, fresh cilantro and finished with a squeeze of lemon. The Ella will be available through October 1, 2017.
“Our spicy chicken sausage is a customer favorite, so we’re excited to bring it back for the Ella. Combined with the fresh cilantro, tomatoes and lemon, this pizza is reminiscent of a street taco,” said Brian Figler, MOD’s Culinary Manager. “Lemon is a huge flavor enhancer, so we cook a wedge right on top, making it simple to add a squeeze to the finished pizza, helping the flavors to really pop!”
Two new toppings are also being offered for the summer: roasted pineapple and Brussels sprouts. Noted Figler, “Brussels are always a favorite when we add them to our offerings, and the roasted pineapple is perfect for creating one of my favorites, the ‘elevated Hawaiian’: Canadian bacon, roasted pineapple, jalapenos, red sauce cheese and a BBQ swirl finish.”
MOD currently has over 230 locations in 22 states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin, as well as five locations in the UK.
