MOD Pizza Cooks Up Winter Seasonal Pizza – The Phoenix

Introduces First Seasonal Salad, Adds Seasonal Toppings & Finishing Sauce

SEATTLE (January 8, 2018) – MOD Super Fast Pizza Holdings, LLC (“MOD Pizza”, “MOD” or the “Company”), today announced its winter seasonal offerings, including The Phoenix pizza, MOD’s first seasonal salad, and three new toppings options. These latest seasonal items will be available at all MOD locations across the U.S. from January 9 through April 2, 2018.

Adding to its more than 30 topping choices will be three new options for the winter – house-roasted whole button mushrooms, fresh-cut kale and Mike’s Hot Honey, as a seasonal finishing sauce. All seasonal ingredients can be added to any pizza or salad at no additional cost.

The first seasonal pizza for 2018 is The Phoenix – an earthy and flavorful pizza with a white sauce base, topped with the seasonal house-roasted button mushrooms, fresh peppery arugula, mild Italian sausage, asiago cheese, roasted red bell peppers and rosemary, finished with a drizzle of tangy, sweet balsamic fig glaze.

MOD will also introduce its first-ever seasonal salad. For the winter, this hearty salad with kale and peppery arugula is combined with creamy ricotta cheese, roasted red peppers, red onions, seasonal house-roasted mushrooms, all tossed together with tangy balsamic vinaigrette.

“The Phoenix and the winter salad give us the opportunity to highlight our seasonal mushrooms and kale, as well as showcase a couple of customer favorites – mild Italian sausage and our balsamic fig glaze,” said Brian Figler, MOD’s Culinary Manager. “For 2018, I’m probably most excited about the introduction of our seasonal finishing sauces, and our first is one of my all-time favorites – Mike’s Hot Honey. This sweet and spicy chili pepper-infused honey uses wildflower honey harvested from New York apiaries and is made with heat-lovers in mind. A drizzle will add a bit of spice to any pizza and it is really amazing on a classic pepperoni pizza.”

There are currently more than 300 system-wide* MOD locations across 27 states and the U.K., with plans for continued rapid growth for the foreseeable future.
